Description
Although the 68 El Camino tailgate emblem looks a lot like the 69-70, there is a difference. In 1968 the El Camino tailgate had a reset area where the studs went through the tailgate panel. The 68 emblem has a larger foot that matches the reset area. In 69-70 there was no reset area made on the tailgate panel eliminating the need for the larger foot. If a 68 emblem is put on a 69-70 panel, there will be a 1/4" gap around the perimeter of the emblem. Includes fasteners. Original GM part # 8701343.
