Restore the classic look of your 1968-1972 Chevy II Nova with our OE Style Hood featuring SS under bracing. Specifically designed for 1968-1972 Nova models, this hood includes SS under bracing for added strength and authenticity. Please note that holes must be located and drilled on the top skin for installing the SS hood louvers.
Auto Metal Direct (AMD) hoods are crafted for a direct bolt-on replacement, utilizing your vehicle's stock hinges and latch assembly for a perfect fit. Each hood features a fully finished, factory-style underside, providing both durability and a polished appearance. Unlike fiberglass hoods, AMD steel hoods resist flexing and warping, ensuring they look great and perform well for years to come.
Arriving in a black electro coat finish, this steel hood is protected against rust and corrosion. Please be aware that this is a sealer, not a primer, and the hood will require standard prep work such as test fitting, sanding, and priming before painting. For best results, we recommend having the hood painted and installed by a qualified auto body technician.

This item, due to its size and weight, is much more susceptible to shipping damage. AMD ships this item in an additional custom foam-padded box. Boxing fees are in addition to standard shipping.

1970 Chevy Nova Hood

Packaging was great, heavy cardboard and wrapping kept it from damage. Hood fit was perfect, it needed a minimal amount of shims just like the GM Hood that was removed from car. The sheet metal gauge was right on par with the factory GM Sheetmetal. I had no difficulties with the fitment of the hood. I highly recommend AMD.

Packaging was great, heavy cardboard and wrapping kept it from damage. Hood fit was perfect, it needed a minimal amount of shims just like the GM Hood that was removed from car. The sheet metal gauge was right on par with the factory GM Sheetmetal. I had no difficulties with the fitment of the hood. I highly recommend AMD.
